![]() I always encourage other artists to find their own styles, no two artists are alike and we are all individuals and our work should reflect that. There may be several different ways to do things, but this is how I do them, and it works for me, so I am passing that onto you, use this as a reference manual, refer to it if you need to or follow it to a T its up to you. Keep in mind as you read this that most of what I have learned I have figured out myself, picked up tidbits from here or there, and in some cases it's been trial and error. this is instructional and includes information on setting up your texture in DS, Iray settings, materials, shaders, tips, tricks, etc. This tutorial does not included any "materials" as none are needed, you should have a graphics program, DS installed with Iray, the clothing/prop you are texturing, etc. If you do not know how to texture on a template for 3D programs such as DS or Poser please see my other tutorials Texturing for Beginners 1 & 2. We start out with only a few tips for your graphics program and simply saving your texture and we hop right to DS. It also assumes you know how to load your figure of choice and clothing, this is not a basic how to use Daz Studio tutorial it is specifically for using your created textures inside DS. This tutorial assumes you have the prior knowledge of creating a texture on a template in your chosen graphics program such as Photoshop or Paint Shop. As with all of my other tutorials this one will also be written in sections, breaking it down, step by step, easy to read, easy to follow with pictures. I will be going over clothing but you may apply much of this information to other 3D items. ![]() We will jump right into Daz Studio from your graphics program so please make sure your texture is ready to save and your program(s) are installed, including your clothing or item you are texturing, and the figure (if needed) for the item you are texturing. Welcome to Clothing Textures for Daz Studio Iray! Whether you are new to Daz Studio (DS) or have been around a while and just want some insight into how I work I hope you find this tutorial useful! **Please Note** you should use Iray with an Nvidia Graphics card, and know how to load your chosen figure/clothing/light set, some basic knowledge of Daz Studio is required.
